Active Weather Pattern Expected From the Midwest to the Southern Plains; Dangerous Heat Likely in Southern Texas

A strong storm system will bring numerous to widespread severe thunderstorms across portions of the Midwest and Upper Great Lakes Tuesday. Tornadoes (a few strong), damaging winds and large hail are expected. Record high temperatures will be possible over southern Texas the next several days. NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information directly from the nearest National Weather Service office. NWR broadcasts include official Weather Service warnings, watches, climatological data, forecasts, and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Receivers can be purchased at many retail outlets, including electronics, department, sporting goods, and boat and marine accessory stores and their catalogs. More information about receivers can be found here.
