Saturday will be warm and dry with highs in the 80s with cooler temperatures along the Lake Michigan shore. Rain is likely late Saturday night and Sunday for the entire area. However, there remains uncertainty regarding amounts. Some areas may only see light amounts. An isolated thunderstorm is also possible. Temperatures will be much cooler on Sunday with highs generally in the 60s with gusty northeast winds. These strong northeast winds will create high waves and dangerous swimming conditions at Lake Michigan beaches. There will be low chances for showers Monday and Tuesday and confidence is low for this time period. It’s possible most of the area will remain dry early next week.
Poor air quality is expected again today in Indiana, primarily due to lingering wildfire smoke in the area. Those with chronic respiratory illnesses should limit their time outdoors. Visit airnow.gov for additional information.
