National Weather Service Pago Pago AS
206 PM SST Wed May 15 2024

.Short term...
A ridge extending from the south will hold breezy conditions (15
to 25 mph) in the area through the new week. Latest satellite and
upper sounding points to wind speeds up to 25 mph with a
moderately stable and dry atmosphere. Although moisture and
convection is focused more over Tonga and Fiji, partly cloudy
skies are visible over the territory due to the aforementioned
ridge. Hence, expect scattered showers with east winds of 15 to 25
mph tonight through Friday.

.Long term...
By Friday night, a mid-level trough will move in the area,
increasing the chance for showers. Expect numerous to widespread
showers through Saturday before diminishing Saturday night as the
trough weakens over the Islands. Scattered showers and breezy
winds will persist through Tuesday before shifting southeast
midweek as another ridge builds near New Zealand.

.Marine...
Latest wave heights are around 10 to 12 feet due to a combination
strong winds and a south swell. Expect a high surf advisory and
small craft advisory to hold through the new week due to breezy
conditions.
