* WHAT...Moderate snow. Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 10
  inches, up to 15 inches at highest peaks. Winds gusting as high
  as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Western Plumas County/Lassen Park and West Slope
  Northern Sierra Nevada above 5500 feet, including Interstate
  80 over Donner Summit and Highway 50 over Echo Summit.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM PDT this morning.

* IMPACTS...Difficult mountain travel from delays, snow-covered
  roads, and chain controls. The hazardous conditions could impact
  the morning or evening commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels 3500 to 4500 feet. Heaviest
  snow through early this morning and above 5500 feet. Lingering
  snow showers continue Thursday afternoon. The next system then
  brings periods of moderate snow Friday through Saturday with
  additional mountain travel impacts possible.

* IMPACTS...Small boats, kayaks and paddle boards will be prone to
  capsizing and should remain off lake waters until conditions
  improve.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusty winds will subside overnight but are
  expected to increase again Thursday afternoon.

Check lake conditions before heading out and be prepared for a

  Owens Valley and up to 65 mph in the Eastern Sierra slopes.

* WHERE...Eastern Sierra Slopes and Owens Valley.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM PDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can make driving difficult or
  hazardous for high profile vehicles and motorcyles. Gusty winds
  will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down
  and a few power outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Sudden crosswinds up to 50 mph can be
  expected on sections of Highway 395 especially near the Sierra
  foothills.
