...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 1 PM
CDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation, including freezing rain, expected.
  Total snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations
  of around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 45
  mph.

* WHERE...Northern Cook and Lake and Southern Cook Counties.
  This includes the Tribal Lands of the Grand Portage
  Reservation.

* WHEN...From 1 AM to 1 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
  conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty
  winds could bring down tree branches.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The main concern is across the higher
  terrain of the North Shore. Not expecting ice accumulations on
  Highway 61 or locales adjacent to Lake Superior. The Gunflint
  Trail should be impacted though. Road temperatures may be warm
  enough to limit ice accumulations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Strong east to northeast winds with gusts of 40 to 50 mph
possible for the Twin Ports and North Shore where a Wind Advisory
is in effect.

Winter Weather Advisories for Lake and Cook counties are also in
effect for tonight as freezing rain leads to ice accumulations of
up to around a tenth of an inch across the higher terrain. Higher
terrain along the North Shore and south into the Twin Ports may
also see a light glaze of ice accumulations this evening into
tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Winter Weather Advisories remains in effect through the morning
hours on Monday for Cook and Lake counties. The Wind Advisory
also runs through the afternoon hours.

morning, which may lead to isolated flash flooding in urban and
low lying areas.

Some thunderstorms are possible late tonight, mainly across
central and east-central Wisconsin. These storms are not expected
to be severe.

Some thunderstorms are possible on Monday. These storms are not
expected to be severe.

Rivers will be on the rise through the middle of the week, with a
few of them possibly reaching bankfull stage.

There is a chance for thunderstorms Tuesday night, but severe
weather is not expected. Additional thunderstorms are possible at
times late Wednesday night through the weekend. It is too early
to determine if any of these storms would become severe.
