  Mississippi River at Gladstone LD18 affecting Henderson and Des
  Moines Counties.

  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by Thursday evening at 900 PM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE TOMORROW EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.

* WHEN...Until late tomorrow evening.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Flood Stage. Water affects County Road E63
  north of the river near Toronto and affects the lowest roads in
  Buena Vista.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.2 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 11.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 9.4 feet
    Wednesday, May 22.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

There is a low chance for an isolated thunderstorm late tonight,
but severe weather is not expected.

Area tributary rivers and lower portions of the Mississippi River
are experiencing flooding. Please see the latest Flood Statements
and Flood Warnings for details.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

There will be a chance for scattered to isolated thunderstorms
Thursday afternoon and evening, mainly along and north of
Interstate 80. Some of these storms may be strong with hail and
gusty winds. There is a Marginal Risk, or level 1 out of 5 for
severe storms across portions of extreme east central Iowa into
northwestern Illinois Thursday afternoon and evening.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight. However,
there is a low chance that spotter activation will be needed
Thursday afternoon across northwestern Illinois.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY: East to northeast at 30 MPH.
