FOR SOUTHEASTERN SAN SABA COUNTY...

At 324 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cherokee,
moving northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind
         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Locations impacted include...
Cherokee, Colorado Bend State Park, Bend, Chappel, and Us-
190 Near The San Saba-Lampasas County Line.

...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  county, San Saba.

* WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 251 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Us-190 Near The San Saba-Lampasas County Line.
  - This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    CR 424 crossing Rough Creek and County Road 343 crossing
    Cherokee Creek.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the most experienced
  swimmers away from shore into deeper water. These rip currents
  can become life-threatening to anyone entering the surf.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the

  Somervell, Tarrant and Wise. In northeast Texas, Delta, Henderson,
  Hopkins, Lamar, Rains and Van Zandt.

* WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Rainfall totals of 1.5 to 3 inches, with isolated higher
    amounts of 3 to 5 inches.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Thunderstorms will continue to develop through the afternoon and
evening hours mainly along and south of the I-20 corridor. Large
hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will all be possible with
these storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
The severe threat will increase once again late Saturday afternoon
through Sunday morning across North Texas as another round of
thunderstorms is expected. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few
tornadoes will be possible. In addition, locally heavy rainfall may
cause flash flooding across parts of North Texas.

Occasional storm chances will continue through Thursday, a few of
which could be strong to severe.

southwest Texas and western Texas.

A Rangeland Fire Danger Statement is in effect this afternoon for
southeast New Mexico, the western high terrain, and the Big Bend
Region.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A Red Flag Warning is in effect Saturday for Southeast New Mexico,
the western high terrain, and the Big Bend Region.

A High Wind Warning is in effect Saturday for the Guadalupe
Mountains. Strong winds may be possible across Southeast New Mexico
as well.

Strong to severe storms may be possible across the eastern Permian
Basin and lower Trans Pecos Saturday evening.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..

.DAY ONE...Today And Tonight.

Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the
Edwards Plateau, Hill Country, and I-35 corridor today. Large hail
and damaging winds the main threats.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

An unsettled weather pattern continues this weekend through next
week with multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Strong to severe
storms are possible across portions of the area. The greatest
threat for strong to severe storms will be across the Edwards
Plateau and the Hill Country Saturday night when all hazards are
possible. Heavier rains may be possible next week.
