At 324 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cherokee,
moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
county, San Saba.
* WHEN...Until 445 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 251 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Us-190 Near The San Saba-Lampasas County Line.
- This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
CR 424 crossing Rough Creek and County Road 343 crossing

Thunderstorms will continue to develop through the afternoon and
evening hours mainly along and south of the I-20 corridor. Large
hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will all be possible with
these storms.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
The severe threat will increase once again late Saturday afternoon
through Sunday morning across North Texas as another round of
thunderstorms is expected. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few
tornadoes will be possible. In addition, locally heavy rainfall may
cause flash flooding across parts of North Texas.
Occasional storm chances will continue through Thursday, a few of
which could be strong to severe.

A High Wind Warning is in effect Saturday for the Guadalupe

Edwards Plateau, Hill Country, and I-35 corridor today. Large hail
and damaging winds the main threats.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
An unsettled weather pattern continues this weekend through next
week with multiple rounds of thunderstorms. Strong to severe
storms are possible across portions of the area. The greatest
threat for strong to severe storms will be across the Edwards
Plateau and the Hill Country Saturday night when all hazards are
possible. Heavier rains may be possible next week.
