Flood Warning for the following rivers in Rhode Island...
Connecticut...

  Pawcatuck River At Wood River Junction affecting Washington
  County.

  Pawcatuck River At Westerly affecting New London and Washington
  Counties.

  Wood River At Hope Valley affecting Washington County.

For the Pawcatuck River...including Wood River Junction, Westerly...
Minor flooding is forecast.
For the Wood River...including Hope Valley...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Additional information is available at www.weather.gov.

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Wood River at Hope Valley.

* WHEN...Until Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, In Richmond, the Wood River renders
  portions of Wood River Drive and Wood River Circle impassable. In
  Hopkinton, the Wood River floods sections of Dow Park off of Main
  Street.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 4.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon to a crest of 6.4 feet just after midnight
    tonight. It will then fall below flood stage early Saturday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 6.0 feet, Floodwaters enter into lowest lying
  structures near Burdickville Road. Floodwaters force closure of
  Driftwood Drive in Charlestown, and inundate the Jay Cronan River
  Access Point on Route 91.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 10:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 3.9 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this evening and continue rising to a crest of 5.8 feet
    tomorrow morning.
  - Flood stage is 5.0 feet.

  along Hiscox Road in Westerly. Along Route 3, flooding occurs at
  some homes in French Village in Hopkinton.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 6.1 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will oscillate around flood stage with a
    maximum value of 7.7 feet tomorrow afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

    ending at 10:45 AM EDT Thursday was 9.1 feet.
