This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Heat indices near 100 are forecast along and north of Interstate 70
for this afternoon.

Thunderstorms will become likely this afternoon and during the
overnight. There is a chance for severe thunderstorms in Central
Kansas with half dollar sized hail and 70mph winds this afternoon
and the early this evening. During the overnight hours, the severe
threat will diminish but strong storms are still likely region wide.
Small hail, and 50 mph winds can be expected with the strongest
storms. Very heavy rain is also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday

Thunderstorms activity will abate some Wednesday but, thunderstorms
will again become possible Wednesday night through Monday. Some
storms could be strong with small hail and gusty winds. Heavy rain
will also be possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated today or tonight.
