5 DAY ICE DISCUSSION... LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM OVER THE CENTRAL GREAT
LAKES WILL DRIFT EAST AND MOVE OFF THE NEW ENGLAND COAST THURSDAY.
AS IT DOES...THE NORTH-NORTHWEST WINDS TO 30 KNOTS OVER THE LAKES
WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH FROM THE WEST.  WINDS WILL GRADUALLY
DIMINISH TO 10 TO 15 KNOTS BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT.  A DEEP UPPER LEVEL
TROUGH WILL DEVELOP OVER THE NORTHEAST CONUS BY MID WEEK...ALLOWING
A LARGE ARCTIC AIRMASS TO DROP OUT OF CENTRAL CANADA AND MOVE ACROSS
THE LAKES WEDNESDAY NIGHT...USHERING IN MUCH BELOW NORMAL CONDITIONS
THAT WILL LAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND.  RAPID ICE GROWTH WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE NORTHERN LAKES BY THE END OF THE WORK WEEK AS
LOWS DIP TO AROUND ZERO TO 10 BELOW. MODERATE ICE GROWTH WILL BE
POSSIBLE ACROSS THE REMAINING LAKES WITH OVERNIGHT LOWS HOVERING IN
THE SINGLE DIGITS.
