5 DAY ICE DISCUSSION...

A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE NORTHEAST ACROSS THE EASTERN
GREAT LAKES TONIGHT.  A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL PERSIST OVER THE
WESTERN GREAT LAKES SUNDAY INTO MONDAY NIGHT.  A RIDGE OF HIGH
PRESSURE WILL BUILD EAST ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES TUESDAY INTO TUESDAY
NIGHT. LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE INTO THE SOUTHWESTERN GREAT LAKES BY
WEDNESDAY.  WINDS WILL BE LIGHT FROM THE SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST ACROSS
THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES. GENERALLY...LIGHT EAST WINDS WILL PREVAIL
ACROSS LAKE SUPERIOR THROUGH THE PERIOD.

ICE FIELDS ON THE GREAT LAKES IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN NEARLY STEADY
THROUGH THE NEXT 5 DAYS. SOME DECAY OF THE ICE IS POSSIBLE WHERE IT
EXISTS DUE TO THE ABNORMALLY WARM TEMPERATURES ACROSS THE AREA.  NO
ADDITIONAL ICE DEVELOPMENT WILL OCCUR THROUGH THIS PERIOD.
