5 Day Ice Discussion...

Ice continues to decrease on Lake Superior with the remaining ice
mainly limited to Whitefish Bay, the St. Mary's River, some of the
northern bays, and northern portions of Georgian Bay. Above normal
temperatures will continue across the Upper Great Lakes through
Tuesday then settle back closer to normal on Wednesday as a front
approaches from the north. Low pressure tracking out of the Plains
will move east across the region from Wednesday into Thursday,
pulling a stronger cold front south behind it. Temperatures will settle
back below normal across the Upper Great Lakes for the remainder of the
week. Ice deterioration will continue through Wednesday, then slow.

Southerly winds of 10-20 knots on Lake Superior tonight will shift
to north/northeast on Tuesday. Winds veer to southeast on Wednesday,
then north at 15-25 knots on the east half of Lake Superior
on Thursday.
